Welcome to the My Account: Two Factor Authentication overview. In this video we will demonstrate how to enable two factor authentication for your Condo Control account.
Two Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of protection to your account. By enabling the feature, you will be prompted to enter a passcode sent to your mobile device each time you log in.
To get started, select My Account from the main menu. This will open your account details page where you will see your user and unit information. To utilize two factor authentication, you must have at least one phone number associated with your account. Select Edit to update a phone number or New to connect a new number to your account.
Once completed, select the Two Factor Authentication tab. By default, two factor authentication is disabled for your account. To enable two factor authentication, select Edit.
Next, select Yes and choose your primary phone number from the drop-down menu. Then, select whether you want the passcode sent as a text or voice message to the corresponding phone number. If applicable, repeat this process for your secondary phone number. Once completed, click Activate.
A code will then be sent to your primary phone number. Enter the code and click Submit to verify your phone number. You have now enabled two factor authentication for your account.
Next time you login to your Condo Control account, you will be prompted to enter a verification code. If you use this device regularly, select This is a trusted device to not be prompted for a verification code next time you login. If you can’t access your primary device, select Try a different method to sign in and select one of the other phone numbers associated with your account.
Enter your verification code and click Submit. You have now successfully logged into your Condo Control account.
