Welcome to the My Account: Adding Authorizations overview. In this video we will demonstrate how to add and edit authorizations for your unit.
Authorizations refer to people you have granted entry to your unit, like a babysitter or dog walker. These individuals are permitted to enter your unit while you are away and can be let in by building administrators.
To get started, select My Account from the main menu. Then, select the Authorizations tab. Here, you will see a list of all your authorizations. Only active authorizations can be granted access to your unit. Your user group permissions will dictate if you can add or edit authorizations.
To add a new authorization, select New. This will take you to the authorization form where you can log the details of the authorized person.
First, enter the name of the authorized person. Then, enter the date and time range the person is authorized to enter the unit. The start date and time will default to the current date and time but can be updated as needed.
If there is no specific end date and time, leave that field blank. Once the date and time have lapsed, the person will no longer show up on the authorization list.
Next, enter the reason for the authorized entry and provide any additional comments. If applicable, you can then upload a picture of the authorized person to assist with future identification. Once completed, click create.
You will now see the new authorization under the Authorizations tab. To view the picture of an authorized person, select the Authorization Picture icon.
To update an authorization, select the Edit icon. You can then revise any of the authorization details other than the person’s name. For example, you can change the date range to reactivate an expired authorization. Once completed, click Save to finalize your changes. The authorization has now been updated.
To remove an authorization, select the Deactivate icon. Then, confirm that you want to deactivate the authorized entrant. The authorization has now been removed from your authorizations list.
That concludes the My Account: Adding Authorizations overview. For more information on the authorizations feature, please refer to our user guides.
