Troubleshooting tips for the Tablet

This article contains some helpful troubleshooting tips for the Condo Control Central tablet application.
Internet Connection Troubleshooting

The following message is an indicator that you may not be connected to the Internet.

If you encounter this error message, the first step is to check the connection. When you open the application, look for this icon:

If it doesn't appear exactly as shown above, the tablet is not connected to the Internet properly. To fix this, there are a couple of options that you can try:

1. Reset your wireless router.
Locate your router and unplug the power cable. Wait for about 30 seconds before plugging it back in. Once the router restarts, the tablet should automatically reconnect within 5 minutes.

2. Restart the tablet.
If you reset the router, but the tablet still isn't connecting, try turning it off and back on again. You can do this by holding down the power button for a few seconds until the following dialog shows up on screen:

Select "Power Off". Restart the tablet by holding down the power button again for a few seconds. Once it is restarted, it should connect to the network automatically.

3. Perform a "Soft Reset".
A "soft reset" is a more thorough way of restarting the tablet. To do this, simply hold down the power button for about 10-15 seconds until the "Google" image shows up on the screen.
