May 29, 2024 Release Notes

The following changes were rolled out to Condo Control during our May 29, 2024 release. Please review the release notes carefully as some changes impact the way the system works. A video summary is available at the end of the article.


process-improvement.png IMPROVEMENTS:

  • Improvement to General and Electronic Voting Proxy Setup

Previously, a new proxy with a "General" type would always include a default "Proxy Nomination" question, and a proxy with an "Electronic" type would always include default "Ballot Type" and "Owner Type" questions. These default questions could not be deleted, which did not make sense for some communities that did not require them.
With this improvement, these questions can now be selected from a drop-down menu, and new proxies will come with no default questions. Additionally, the questions in the drop-down menu during the setup process will now be sorted alphabetically, making it easier to find and select the needed questions.

  • Payment Provider Reference Number Added to Downloadable Parking Permit Receipts and Visitor Details Report for Paid Parking

The payment reference number will now be displayed on parking permit receipts downloaded by residents under the "Visitors" section. The payment reference number will also be shown on the Visitor Details Report for workspaces with paid visitor parking enabled.


bug.png BUG FIXES:

  • Fix for Missing Registration Codes

Addressed an issue where some individuals did not receive a registration code after being imported during initial batch imports. Implemented a similar fix for welcome emails generated in bulk from setup. Now, when users click on the registration link in the email, the page will prepopulate the unit number and registration code, avoiding the need for users to type these details manually.

  • Fix for Task Summary Report Showing HTML code

Corrected an issue where HTML code was displayed in the details field on a task summary report. 

  • Fix for Service Request Custom Field Edits on Setup Page

Improved the logic behind updating service request custom fields set up with types "checkbox," "single selection pick list," and "multiple selection pick list."
Editing will be allowed if there are no service requests using these custom fields.
If there is at least one existing service request using these fields, our system will indicate that editing the field type is not allowed and display a warning (if any options for selection pick lists are updated) stating that the change will affect all existing service requests using that custom field.

  • Fix for Unit Legal Description Field on Unit File

Resolved an issue with the unit legal description field allowing duplicate entries. The system will now display a validation message if a duplicate value is entered.

  • Fix for Attachments In Specific Formats Added to Announcement Details Field Preventing Announcement from Being Saved

Resolved an issue where announcements were not being saved if users copied and pasted attachments in .jpeg and .webp formats into the announcement details field when creating an announcement.
