Service Requests: How to Add/Edit Service Request Types & Custom Fields

This user guide outlines how to add and edit Service Request Types and Custom Fields from the Service Requests setup page.

Service Request Types

Service Request Types are the categories residents pick from when submitting a service request. 

 

1. Start by Logging into your Condo Control account and select Settings from the Welcome menu.

2. Select Service Requests from the Settings menu.

3. Under the Service Requests Types tab, you can add service request types and custom fields.

4. To add a new service request type, select Add New. To edit or remove an existing service request type, select the Edit or Delete icons.

5. Then, complete the Service Request Type Form.

1) Enter a name for the service request type.

2) Add tags to the service request type to assist with searching.

3) Enter a description of the service request type.

4) Determine if residents can create a service request for the service request type. If you select No, residents will only see the description field when they select the request type.

5) Next, determine if the service request type and subject line can be revised.

6) Then, select whether residents are allowed to reopen closed service requests. 

7) Assign the service request type to a specific team member. 

8) If applicable, determine the administration group who can update the status of the service request.

9) Determine if payment is required for the service request type and if applicable, enter the amount.

 

6. Once complete, click Save.

7. If a service request type requires additional information from residents, you can create a custom field. This field will then appear on the service request form for the assigned service request type.

 

8.To add a custom field, select Add New. To edit or remove an existing custom field, select the Edit or Delete icons.

9. Then, fill out the Custom Field Form. 

New Custom Field

1) Enter a label for the custom field.

2) Select the Service Request Type the field should be added to.

3) Enter a Tool Tips to clarify what information is required for the field.

4) Select the fields type and if applicable, enter the appropriate options.

5) Determine if the field is mandatory.

6) Determine the end user permission level for the custom field.

10. Once complete, click Save.
