Managing Your SMS Notifications

Condo Control leverages SMS messaging (i.e. text messages) to provide a fast and efficient way to communicate with community members. This feature is particularly useful for delivering time-sensitive announcements and updates. This guide outlines how SMS messages are utilized and how to manage your notifications.

 

SMS Message Usage

1.  Instant Announcements:

  • SMS messages allow property managers to send urgent announcements directly to residents' mobile phones. This ensures that critical information, such as emergency alerts or last-minute changes, is received promptly.

2.  Multi-Channel Communication:

  • SMS is one of several communication methods available on Condo Control. Messages can also be sent via email, voice, and digital bulletin boards, ensuring that all residents are reached through their preferred channel.

3.  Delivery Tracking:

  • Condo Control tracks the delivery of SMS messages, providing property managers with data to confirm that messages have been successfully received. This feature helps improve communication strategies by identifying the most effective methods for reaching residents.

4.  Customizable Messaging:

  • Property managers can create and schedule SMS messages tailored to specific groups or the entire community. This flexibility allows for targeted communication, such as reminders for upcoming events or maintenance notifications.

 

Managing Notifications

You can cancel SMS notifications at any time. Opt out by replying "STOP" to any SMS message received from Condo Control. This will automatically unsubscribe your phone number from receiving future text messages. If you'd like to opt back in later, simply reply with "START" to any previous message from Condo Control.

Data Rates

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. You will receive approximately three to five SMS messages per month depending on how your community utilizes this feature. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
