Welcome to the Guest Passes: Creating & Sharing Passes overview. In this video we will demonstrate how to create, pay for, and share guest passes from the mobile app.
To get started, open the Condo Control app on your mobile device. From the main menu, select Guest Passes. This will launch the Guest Pass page where you can view, create, and share your guest passes.
By default, you will see a list of your active guest passes. To adjust the view, select the Filters icon and pick the appropriate options. You can filter the guest pass list by: Pass Status, Pass Type, and Payment Status.
To purchase a guest pass, click Create Guest Pass. Then, select the Pass Type from the drop-down menu. Ensure you review any pass type details before proceeding. Next, select how many passes you would like to purchase. The maximum number of passes per transaction will be listed below the total. You will then see a summary of the cost per permit and subtotal, minus the service fees. Click Continue to proceed to payment.
Then, select your payment method. If you previously saved a payment method, it will be listed as the default choice. If not, you can select either Credit Card or Bank Transfer and enter the payment information. You will then see the final total for your purchase including service fees and transaction fees. Click Pay to complete the transaction. Your guest passes have now been purchased.
To send a pass to your guest, select Share beside the applicable pass. You will then see your most recent contacts as well as your device sharing options. The available apps are based on what is configured on your mobile device. Pick the appropriate sharing option and if applicable select the relevant contact. The draft message will then open in your selected platform, which you can customize before sending. Do not change the URL portion of the message.
When your guest arrives, they click on the URL in the message and will see the guest pass, with QR code, for security to scan. If the pass has already been scanned or has expired, there will be a notification at the top of the pass and no QR code.
Once the pass has been scanned, it will be removed from the active guest pass list. To see the guest pass, change the pass status filter to Used Passes. The guest pass validity will now be listed as scanned.
That concludes the Guest Passes: Creating & Sharing Passes overview. For more information on the Guest Pass feature, please refer to our user guides.
