This article outlines the new features, system improvements, and bug fixes rolled out in the month of July. Please review the changes carefully as some may impact the way the system works.

What’s new in Condo Control.

We have enhanced the Service Request Details page. Administrators can now preview attachments that were added to service requests outside of custom fields. Workspace and Portfolio-level users can view these attachments in a preview window, and if needed, download or print them directly from the preview, eliminating the need to download files just to see their contents. 

We have created a new built-in Staff group called “Payment Administrators”. This group has a corresponding permission called “Can Access Payment Setup”, which is enabled by default for the group. Only users in the Payment Administrators group can add others to it, ensuring that access is tightly controlled. They will also be the only users with access to the Payment Setup section on the setup page. This is to ensure payment information is kept private and secure within the community.

July 1 - 6, 2025

Resolved an issue where users saw a blank page when trying to add new vendors to the community data sheet. 

 

July 7 - 13, 2025

process-improvement.png  Service Request Attachment Preview

We have added the ability to preview attachments from the service request details page. Users at both the workspace and portfolio level can now preview service request attachments, and if applicable, download the attachment from the preview window.

 

process-improvement.png  Fix to Violation Tracking Merge Codes

Resolved an issue where certain merge codes, like “Name”, “UnitAddress”, and “UnitNumber”, were not populating correctly when logging multiple violations.

Addressed an issue where users were being redirected to the "Pending" service request list instead of the "Open" service request list after closing a service request.

Resolved an issue where the Owner Login Warning, (which states that residents do not receive emails if owner login is disabled) was not appearing on the announcements page.

 

process-improvement.png  Fix to Unit Residents Tab for Custom Groups

Addressed an issue where the "Unit Residents" tab was not visible under My Account for users in Custom Groups with the permission "Can Add / Edit / Delete other residents in the unit".

Resolved an issue where users not assigned to a user group were being listed in the Unit File causing Administrators to believe they were reactivated.

 

process-improvement.png  Fix to Status Certificate Common Documents Page

Resolved an issue where some administrators were receiving an error message when they tried to access the Common Documents page within the Status Certificate module.

Addressed an issue where resident level users (i.e. Owners, Renters, Residents) were not receiving announcement emails because their announcement email preference was set to "No" by default on account creation.

 

July 14 - 20, 2025

Addressed an issue where letters with accents were not copied over when users selected "Copy to Message" while drafting the text/voice message for an announcement.

Resolved an issue where some users received an error message when they tried to download the Proxy list from the Proxy Voting module.

 

process-improvement.png  Fix to Submitting Community Asset Requests

Addressed an issue where users received an error message after submitting or revising community asset requests for certain asset types in their community. 

 

process-improvement.png  Fix to Duplicate Portfolio Users

Resolved an issue where users could be created multiple times in a portfolio using the same email address but with different capitalization. Duplicate emails (regardless of case) are now prevented.

Resolved an issue where some report fields were not being translated to French despite the user's language preference being set to French.

 

July 21 - 27, 2025

Resolved an issue where the line breaks added to an announcement were not being saved once the announcement was published.

 

July 28 - 31, 2025

Resolved an issue where some users received an error message when trying to add a new event to the event calendar.

Resolved an issue where users were unable to print the shift report on the Security & Concierge module.

Addressed an issue where history records would not load in the Asset Management, File Library and Unit File module.
