Your Embedded Payment account representative must be kept up-to-date. If a staff member leaves or changes roles, their information should be updated. This user guide outlines how to update, change, or remove an account representative from the Embedded Payments dashboard. Only users in the Payment Administrators group can manage payment settings.
1. Select Setup from the user menu.
2. Pick Payment Setup from the main menu.
3. Under the Financial Reports tab, click Account Management to see your account details. Then, scroll to the Management and Ownership section. Your current account representative will be listed.
Update Account Representative Details
1. To update the current account representative's information, select Edit.
2. Update the relevant fields for the account representative. If you're located in Canada, you will need to complete one of the verification methods to save your changes. Once completed, click Submit.
3. Acknowledge that submitting your changes may require additional verification from the account representative. Click Yes, Submit to proceed.
4. Your changes have now been made to the account representative's information.
Add New Account Representative
1. Under Change Account Representative, select Choose and either pick an existing account representative (i.e. Director or Board Member) or pick Add Someone New.
Note: The account representative list includes any Directors or Board Members you added during account creation. It is not connected to your Condo Control groups.
2. The new account representative must be fully verified within 7 days to prevent payout disruption. Click Update Representative to continue.
3. Enter the Legal Name and Email Address for the new account representative and click Add. If you're located in Canada, confirm the person is a member of the governing board and click Submit.
4. Acknowledge that additional verification from the account representative may be required. Click Yes, Submit to proceed.
5. The new account representative has now been added. You have 7 days to enter the additional details about the account representative and complete verification. The record will be marked Incomplete until this is completed. Click Edit to add the required information.
6. Enter the Job Title, Date of Birth, Home Address and Phone Number for the account representative. If you're located in the USA, also enter the last 4 digits of the account representative's Social Security Number. Once completed, click Submit.
7. If further verification is still needed, the account representative will continue to be labelled as Incomplete. Click Edit again to finish verification.
8. If you're located in Canada, select one of the two ID verification methods. After completing the verification, select Submit.
- Liveness verification: will prompt you to take a photo of your ID on your mobile device via QR code.
- Verify your ID and home address: will prompt you to upload an ID and address document. They cannot be the same document.
If you're located in the USA, enter the account representative's Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN). After completing the verification, select Submit.
9. The verification process is now complete and the new person is the active account representative.
Remove Account Representative
You can only remove an account representative if there is more than one associated with your account. If you only have one representative, create/verify the new representative before deleting the old one.
1. Expand the Management and Ownership section to see a list of all the account representatives.
2. Select Edit beside the account representative you want to remove from your Stripe account.
3. Click Remove Person followed by Remove to delete the account representative.
4. The account representative has now been deleted from your Stripe account.
Note: This does not remove the user from the Payment Administrators group. Meaning, they can still access and manage payment settings. To revoke their access fully, remove them from the Payment Administrators group. Refer to the following guide for further instructions: How to Change a User's Group Membership.
