Embedded Payments (EP) is Condo Control’s integrated payment solution, built directly into your workspace. This removes the need to redirect to a third-party website. EP is powered by Stripe, so you benefit from the same reliability and security, with a more streamlined experience.
Payments & Deposits
Can payments be grouped together for payouts?
Yes. Payments are grouped based on your selected payout schedule, which can be set to daily, weekly, or monthly.
When will funds be deposited into the condo corporation's bank account?
Deposits are made according to your chosen payout schedule (daily, weekly, or monthly).
Where will my payouts go?
Your payouts will continue to be deposited into the same bank account used prior to migration. Once your Embedded Payments account is fully activated, you can access the Payment Setup section to view the embedded dashboard and confirm your payout details.
Owner Experience
What will owners see on their bank or credit card statement?
Owners will see a shortened version of the condo corporation's name on their statement.
Do recurring payments need to be reset?
Yes. While payment details remain saved, owners will need to reselect their recurring payment schedule through the "Make a Payment" option.
Will owners notice any changes?
There will be minimal changes. The payment process will remain familiar, with added transparency showing transaction details and fees before submission.
Fees & Pricing
What fees apply to online payments? Each transaction includes:
- Stripe processing fee: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction
- Condo Control service fee: $2.00
- International card fee (if applicable): ~1.5% additional
Who pays the processing fees?
Processing fees are paid by the resident making the payment.
How are fees shown to owners?
All applicable fees are clearly displayed before the payment is submitted.
Are fees automatically added at checkout?
Yes. The total, including fees, is calculated and shown prior to checkout.
Is there a monthly platform fee?
No. There are no monthly fees for using Stripe through Condo Control.
Are international cards accepted?
Yes. Payments made with international cards typically include an additional ~1.5% fee.
What happens to fees if a payment is refunded?
Processing fees are non-refundable. If included in a refund, the amount will be deducted from the corporation's account.
Failed Payments & Disputes
What happens if a payment fails?
If a payment fails, it is not processed and no fees are applied.
Who is responsible for dispute fees?
In the case of a dispute, the condo corporation is responsible for any associated fees (approximately $15 per dispute).
Security & Verification
Why is the last 4 digits of an SSN required?
Stripe requires this information for identity verification and compliance purposes to ensure secure and reliable payment processing.
Will my money be secure?
Yes. Your Embedded Payments account is a Stripe account created under Condo Control’s platform. This means all industry-standard security measures and compliance protocols provided by Stripe remain in place.
Accounting & Integrations
Does Stripe integrate with accounting systems?
Yes. Stripe integrates with Condo Manager, Yardi, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and ShiftSuite.
Are payments automatically matched to unit accounts?
Yes, when an active integration with a supported accounting system is in place.
Can I keep my current Stripe account?
You will continue to own your existing Stripe account. However, all workspaces are being transitioned to Embedded Payments, which requires a new Embedded Payments account (powered by Stripe) to process transactions within Condo Control.
