What’s new in Property Control.

We’re excited to introduce Cumulative Voting in our Proxy Voting module — a new option that gives communities more flexibility in how voters allocate their ballots during elections. It supports Illinois state regulations and is available to any community that wants to give voters the freedom to distribute multiple votes across candidates in any combination they choose.

With Cumulative Voting enabled, voters can assign multiple votes to a single candidate or split their total votes across several candidates. For example, a voter entitled to five votes could give all five to one candidate, split them two and three between two candidates, or use any other combination up to their total.

Proxy Voting now supports weighted voting models, allowing communities to calculate voting power based on each unit’s ownership percentage or share count, rather than the default Equal Voting model where one unit equals one vote.

Administrators can choose from three Voting Weight Models: Equal Voting, Percentage-based voting, or Share-based voting. Unit weights are uploaded through a simple template, and once they’re in place, everything reflects each unit’s assigned voting weight automatically — quorum calculations, the voting experience, results, downloaded proxies, and reports.

License Plate Search is now available in your workspace, making it much easier to respond to parking situations by quickly identifying which unit a vehicle belongs to, or which visitor permit it’s tied to. You can search by license plate from the quick search, or directly from the Unit File. And on the mobile app, license plate search is available in both the Unit File and the Security and Concierge Console.

process-improvement.png  Service Request Email Notifications

We have updated Service Request email notifications to give staff more control over what they receive. Previously, some notification logic ran automatically in the background — for example, all admins would receive notifications for unassigned Service Requests by default. With this update, each staff member can configure their preferences directly, choosing from the following options:

  • Email me when all service requests are added/updated by another user:
Receive notifications for any Service Request activity across your community.

  • Email me when unassigned service requests are added/updated by another user:
Receive notifications specifically for Service Requests that have not yet been assigned.

  • Email me when a service request is added by another user, and I am an Assignee or Approver:
Receive a notification when a new Service Request is created and you are listed as an Assignee or Approver.

  • Email me when a service request is updated by another user, and I am an Assignee or Approver:
Receive a notification when a Service Request you are assigned to or approving has been updated.

  • Email me reminders for service requests I receive added/updated notifications for:
Receive follow-up reminders for Service Requests you are already notified about.

Additionally, the workspace-level "Allow Email the Board" setting has been retired, as Service Request email notifications are now controlled through each user's individual email preferences. For more information on service request notifications, refer to the following guide: How to Manage Service Request Notifications

process-improvement.png  Fix to Announcement Email Formatting

Resolved an issue where line breaks and paragraph spacing entered in the Announcement editor were not preserved in the resulting email notification, causing content to appear compressed without proper spacing between sections.

process-improvement.png  Proxy Voting Enhancement: Cumulative Voting

We have introduced Cumulative Voting to the Proxy Voting module, giving communities more flexibility in how voters allocate their ballots during elections. This improvement supports Illinois state regulations and is available to any community that wishes to allow voters to distribute multiple votes across candidates in any combination they choose.

When the "Cumulative Voting" setting is enabled under Setup > Proxy Voting, voters can assign multiple votes to a single candidate or split their total votes across several candidates. For example, a voter entitled to five votes can assign all five to one candidate, split them 2 and 3 between two candidates, or any other combination up to their total.

process-improvement.png  Fractional & Share-Based Voting Options

We have expanded Proxy Voting to support weighted voting models, allowing communities to calculate voting power based on each unit’s ownership percentage or share count, rather than the default Equal Voting model (i.e., 1 unit = 1 vote).

Under Setup > Proxy Voting, administrators can select their preferred "Voting Weight Model" from three options: Equal Voting, Percentage-based voting, or Share-based voting. Unit weights are uploaded through a template, and once in place, quorum calculations, the voting experience, results, downloaded proxies, and reports automatically reflect each unit's assigned voting weight or share count.

process-improvement.png  Fix to Paid Community Asset Requests

Resolved an issue that allowed a paid community asset request to be created without an associated payment, preventing users from editing the request or proceeding to confirmation after the request was approved.

process-improvement.png  Fix to Previously Linked Amenities

Addressed an issue where removing the link between amenities prevented new bookings on the affected amenities and also prevented those amenities from being re-linked afterward.

April 20 - 26, 2026

process-improvement.png  License Plate Search

License plate search is now available in the global search bar and in the Unit File quick search - making it easy to respond to parking situations quickly by identifying which unit a vehicle belongs to or which visitor parking permit it is associated with. On the mobile app, license plate search has also been extended to both the Unit File and the Security & Concierge Console.

process-improvement.png  Fix to Linked Workspace Welcome Emails

Addressed an issue where Welcome Emails sent from a linked workspace were displaying the branding, workspace name, and links of the sender's community rather than those of the recipient's community.

process-improvement.png  Fix to Package Name Mismatch Notification

Resolved an issue where residents were receiving an “Action Required: Name does not match the name on the package” email even after a package had been successfully identified and logged by staff. This email notification has now been removed.

April 27 - 30, 2026

process-improvement.png  Mobile: Service Request Improvements

We have made two enhancements to the Service Requests feature on Mobile to bring parity with our web app. A personal unread indicator now appears on the Service Requests landing page, making it easier to see at a glance which requests have new updates waiting to be reviewed.

Users can now also attach PDF and Word documents (in addition to images) when creating or updating a Service Request, making it easier to include files like permits, quotes, and invoices while on the go.

These changes are available on the iOS and Android app version 13.6.0 and up.

process-improvement.png  Fix to Missed Patrol Email Notifications

Resolved an issue where administrators were receiving "Missed Patrol" email notifications before the full patrol time window had elapsed, resulting in patrols being incorrectly flagged as missed.

process-improvement.png  Fix to Short Term Rental Guest Emails

Addressed an issue where the unit number was visible in welcome and reminder emails sent to Short Term Rental guests, which caused confusion if a guest was reassigned to a different unit at check-in.

process-improvement.png  Fix to Approved Vendor List

Resolved an issue where vendors added at the portfolio level were appearing in workspaces that did not have Accounts Payable enabled, resulting in unexpected entries on the workspace's approved vendor list.
