Welcome to the Security & Concierge: Capturing Signatures overview. In this video we will review how to capture signatures using the Topaz Signature Pad and Android Tablet. Your account manager will require your device ID to connect and enable this feature.
To get started, select Security and Concierge from the main menu. You can then create a new entry or filter the activity list using the drop-down menu. Capturing signatures is required when you release a package, sign-out a key, or log an authorized entry. In this example, we will demonstrate how to capture a signature when releasing a package.
Begin by selecting a package log from the activity list. Then, click Release Package in the pop-up window. Alternatively, you can select Release from the Action column.
Next, enter the details for the person that picked up the package and click Submit. You will then be prompted to capture a signature through the signature pad or tablet. Click OK to proceed.
If you are using the Topaz Signature Pad, the person can then sign the device and click Continue. The signature has now been captured. To view the signature, open the package log from the Security & Concierge Console.
If you are using an Android Tablet, login to the device and select Capture Signature. The person can then sign the device and click Ok. The signature has now been captured. Like before, open the package log from the Security & Concierge Console to view the signature.
If you’re using an Android Tablet, you may opt to release the package directly through the device. To do so, select Packages and click on the package you would like to release. Enter the name of the person who picked up the package and have them sign in the box below. Click Done to save the signature and release the package.
You can then see the updated package log in the Security & Concierge Console on the web app.
