The following changes were rolled out to Condo Control during our May 1, 2025 release. Please review the release notes carefully as some changes impact the way the system works.
NEW:
- Guest Pass Feature
We are excited to announce that we now offer paid guest passes. Our Guest Pass feature provides a convenient and secure method for owners to grant one-time access to common areas (e.g. pool, tennis court, etc.) for their guests. This feature allows owners to easily pay for, and issue single-use guest passes that can be validated by security using a QR code scan, ensuring that only authorized individuals can access the facilities. Communities can customize guest passes, setting the price and purchase limits for each pass type while residents can purchase and share guest passes from their phones.
The Guest Pass feature is currently available to clients using Zego payments. Reach our to your Customer Success Manager to join the Stripe waiting list. For more information on our Guest Pass feature, refer to the following guide: Guest Pass Overview.
IMPROVEMENTS:
- Service Request Notifications
On March 20th we rolled out a series of changes to our service request email notifications. Currently, a service request type may have assignees configured at the setup level, but the individual service request might not have assignees (e.g., they were removed during creation or during an update by an admin).
With this improvement, the system will no longer treat such requests as entirely unassigned. Instead, it will now also check whether the service request type has assignees. If it does, those assignees will be treated as the recipients of notifications — rather than defaulting to all staff users.
This will help to further streamline the notification process and ensure only relevant staff members receive notifications. For more information on service request notifications, refer to the following guide: How to Manage Service Request Notifications.
BUG FIXES:
- Fix to Service Request Custom Field Checkbox Type
Resolved an issue where changing a custom field’s type to “Checkbox” would result in custom fields not loading during the submission of a Service Request.
- Fix to the Task Voting Email Notification
Addressed an issue where the "Your Vote is Required for a Task" email was not sending if voting was added after the initial Task was created.
- Fix to Service Request Email Templates
Resolved an issue with the reference number field in service requests email templates. The service request ID number was being listed instead of the service request reference number in our email templates.
- Fix to Purchase Order History Records
Addressed an issue where history records were not being created when purchase orders were sent for approval with notes for the approvers.
- Fix to Editing Community Asset Types
Addressed an issue where the incorrect asset type was being displayed while on "Edit Community Asset Request" page.
- Fix to Paid Visitor Parking Permits
Resolved an issue where some users were not being prompted for payment after using the maximum number of free parking permits. Users will now be prompted for payment, submissions will be blocked without payment, and users will see messaging when permit creation is blocked.
- Fix to Approving Amenity Bookings
Resolved an issue where some users were unable to approve amenity bookings from the "Bookings Pending Approval" page.
- Fix to Deleting Task Attachments
Addressed an issue where users were receiving an error message after deleting the original attachment from a task.
