Embedded Payment Account Verification Process

After completing your initial Embedded Payment account set up, Stripe may ask for additional verification documents. This user guide outlines what documents to use and how to complete your account verification. You must be part of the Payment Administrators group to access the Payment Setup section.

1. Select Setup from the user menu.

2. Pick Payment Setup from the main menu.

3. Under the My Account tab, you will see a notification that additional information is required by Stripe to verify your Embedded Payment account. Click Update to proceed.

4. Review and if applicable, update your community details. If the information is already correct, select Upload a Document.

5. Pick the type of document from the menu provided. We recommend you use a Signed Board Resolution. Click Continue to upload the document.

6. Click Select File or drag and drop the file in the provided area.

7. Review the file preview to ensure you selected the correct document. Then, confirm the document is in colour and is not blurry. Once completed, click Submit.

8. You may then be asked to upload a document to verify your board of directors. If so, select the type of document from the menu provided. If you are in Ontario, we recommend you use a copy of your CAO registration information. Otherwise, you can use the same board resolution as you did previously. Click Continue to upload the document.

9. Like before, click Select File or drag and drop the file in the provided area.

10. Review the file preview to confirm you selected the correct document and then click Submit to complete the process.

11. Your additional documentation has been submitted and Stripe will proceed with your account verification. It typically takes 1-2 days to complete the verification process.

You will know your account has passed verification, when the In Review notification has been removed from your payment dashboard.
