Video Script

Welcome to the Security & Concierge: Valet Parking overview. In this video we will demonstrate how to request valet parking and process valet parking requests.  

To get started, select Security & Concierge from the main menu followed by Valet Parking from the sub-menu. This will open the valet parking page where you can see current and future valet requests. If you prefer to use a tablet, select Valet Services from the home screen. Both options will take you to the valet parking page and follow the same process.

On the valet parking page, you will see a list of the vehicles in queue. The requests display in the order they were received but can be re-prioritized as needed. 

An alert will pop-up on the valet parking page when a new valet request is made. You will only see the alert if you are on the valet parking page.

Each valet parking request includes the vehicle license plate number or valet reference number, the name and unit number of the resident that made the request, and if applicable, an indication the vehicle belongs to a guest.

You will also see the estimated delivery time for each request on the righthand side. The default delivery time is set to 5 minutes, but it can be revised by building management as needed. 

To request valet parking on behalf of a resident or guest, select Request Vehicle for Resident. You can then request one or multiple vehicles belonging to the residents, one or multiple guest vehicles, or both resident and guest vehicles.

To requests a resident’s vehicle, begin by entering their unit number. Then, select the applicable resident from the drop-down menu. You will then see the vehicles registered to the unit. Select the appropriate vehicle.

If you are also requesting a guest’s vehicle, enter the reference number or license plate for the vehicle. To add additional guest vehicle, click the plus sign and enter the corresponding details.

Next, determine if you want to request the vehicles now or at a further date and time, which you can then specify. Once completed click Save. You will now see the valet requests in the queue. The resident and guest will then be given an estimated time until pick-up and their number in queue. 

When a vehicle is being retrieved, move the request to the retrieving vehicles now section. To do so either drag the request over or click on the request and select move. This will update the resident’s status page and adjust queue time for the remaining valet requests.

Once the vehicle has been delivered, move the request from retrieving to delivered by clicking on it and selecting move. The request will then disappear from the list. 

If you need to cancel a valet request, click on the request, select Cancel Valet Request, enter the reason for the cancellation, and click Confirm. The request has now been cancelled and the resident will be notified.

To view valet parking records, return to the Security and Concierge Console. Scroll through the activity stream or search using the valet parking filter. Open the desired valet parking log to view the details.
