How to Add or Update Profile Pictures

In this user guide we will outline how to add, edit or delete Profile Pictures from the Unit File. If your community utilizes Profile Badges, this is the photo that will appear on the badge.

 

To make Profile Picture a mandatory field during the user registration process, follow the step in the user guide below:

How to Edit Self-Registration Settings

 

To allow residents to add or update profile pictures post-registration, enable the following group permissions. This will need to be done for the Owners, Tenants & Residents group.

 

How to Add a Profile Picture

1. Select Unit File from the main menu. 

NOTE: If users are updating their own Profile Picture, they will select My Account from the main menu and continue the process from Step 4.

 

2. Locate the user in the Unit List and click on the individual’s name.

 

3. Then, click on the user's profile picture. 

 

4. Select Add to upload a profile picture. 

 

5.  You can either select Update Image to upload a file or Take a new picture to launch your webcam.

 

Update Image - Click Choose File to select your photo.

You can then Zoom in or out to select the region that will display on the profile badge. Once completed, click Save.

Take a new picture - Position your webcam and select Capture to take a picture.

Drag the image to align the face with the badge frame. Once completed, click Use Photo. If you want to retake the picture, select Back,

 

You have now successfully uploaded a profile picture. 

 

NOTE: The icon on the users' welcome menu will not change when a profile picture is added.

 

How to Update a Profile Picture

Follow steps 1-4 listed under How to Add a Profile Picture.

1. Select Edit to update the profile picture.

 

2. Like before, select either Update Image to upload a new file or Take a new picture to launch your webcam. 

 

Follow the same steps outlined above for your selected option. You have now successfully updated a profile picture. 

 

NOTE: Once a Profile Picture has been added, users cannot delete it. They must upload/take a new picture. Only Administrators can delete Profile Pictures.

 

How to Delete a Profile Picture 

Follow steps 1-3 listed under How to Add a Profile Picture.

1. Select the User tab and click Edit.

 

2. Then, select the Delete icon next to the uploaded Profile Picture file and click Save.

 

The Profile Picture has now been removed.
